A FURIOUS Irvine mum said she is "disgusted" that her son is being forced to sit an important prelim exam AGAIN - after his class' original papers were LOST by staff.
The irate mother said her 17-year-old son was distraught that his Irvine Royal Academy class were being called in on their holidays to re-do the preliminary Higher English, as their papers were misplaced during the marking procedure.
The mum, who asked to keep her son anonymous, said: "He is gutted because he studied extremely hard. English is not his top subject but because he really needs the grade he put in loads of effort and thought he had done really well.
"Now all that is gone and he has to go through it all again, just when he thought his prelim exams were over."
"He might need to rely on his mark to get him into university - it's not fair."
Around 25 pupils were hit with the exam shocker when they went back to school after their exams on Monday. Today (Wednesday), while all the other kids at their school are off, the English class will be forced to come in.
