'HELP ME TRACK DOWN GOOD SAMARITAN

AN 87-YEAR-OLD woman from Kilwinning is desperately trying to trace the kind-hearted bus traveller who handed her a £10 note when she lost her purse - so she can give it back to her.

But so far, despite trying through the post office, the police office and her local postal manager, Law Gardiner has been unable to find the generous woman who gave her the money even though they had never met before.

"The generosity she showed me was boundless," said the pensioner.
