'It is nice for boys to see dad working again'

A SPRINGSIDE father-of-two turned scooped a full-time job in a shop - even though he was supposed to be on a short work placement.

And John McInnes, 28, impressed bosses at Poundland in the Rivergate so much that they offered him a permanent position.

He told the Times: "I am thoroughly enjoying my job and it's especially nice for the boys to see their daddy working again!".

John McInnes last worked at Sportsworld for four months in 2007 and before that administration assistant at Kilwinning Sports Club, before being out of work for more than two years.
