CASH-STRAPPED council bosses are to find an extra £130,000 to get the Bailey Bridge back on track from delays.
Despite planning £10m in cuts over the next year, North Ayrshire Council Chief Executive Elma murray last week asked councillors to give her permission to spend additional cash to get the project back on schedule.
It was revealed that delays caused by severe winter weather over the festive period - plus initial groundwork by utility companies - would have seen the completion of the £3.5m bridge put back to the beginning of June at best.
