DROVE DRUNK TO SISTER'S AID

A KILWINNING dad drunkenly drove to the aid of his sister only to be pulled over by the police.

Mark Lang McLeod, of Braidwood Road, had been out drinking with friends on March 20 with "no intention" of driving.

His lawyer Peter Murray told Kilmarnock Sheriff Court: "He retired to bed but then got a phone call from his sister living in Kilwinning."
