LOCAL newspaper reports claiming that Kilwinning will soon get its own farmer's market are incorrect, the Times can reveal.

The group behind the project have in fact confirmed that proposals for a fresh produce market in the town's Main Street Square are just one idea of many that is being discussed with Kilwinning people by Irvine Bay Regeneration Company who are behind the venture.

And they have also confirmed that dates included in an article about the venture, which ay it will come four times a year starting in October, are entirely INVENTED.
