GRIT left lying on footpaths in Irvine and Kilwinning since the winter is set to be cleared up - but one angry resident says "it should have been done before now."

Following the particularly harsh snow and ice last winter, many people have been complaining that salt and grit put down to protect them has been left behind on their footpaths and pavements for months.
