Union calls for Oldfather to quit

A UNION representing NAC workers has called on Kilwinning councillor Ryan Oldfather to quit.

The GMB union claim his attendance record would get him sacked if he were a council worker - missing council business on 22 occasions.

GMB organiser Paul Arkison has said that alterations to NAC absence procedures, put through by the council last year, are causing huge concern among NAC staff and say if this new policy was applied to councillors then Ryan Oldfather should be dismissed.
