Penny-watching councillors could be set to boost the coffers of one Kilwinning group, but refuse an application from another.
At a meeting of the Kilwinning Area Committee set to take place as this article went to press, council officers were about to recommend that a money request from the town's branch of the British Legion be knocked back.
Documents about to be set before the members state that the group's call for £300 to get them transport from Glasgow for the 2010 Armistice Parade in Kilwinning should be rejected.
