MUM SPED OFF IN HER SMASHED-UP CAR

A mother-of-two from Stewarton crossed into opposing traffic before spinning out of control and hitting a barrier and another car, while carrying her two kids as passengers.

The 29-year-old then drove off even though her car was dangerously damaged and failed to stop and give her details, a court heard.

But her lawyer, Alan Kerr, explained that the mother, who is not being named to protect her anonymity on another matter, later turned herself into police.
