An Irvine man has appeared in court after launching a tirade of foul-mouthed abuse at a pair of community wardens.

John Fisher, 49, was fined for shouting, swearing and committing a breach of the peace at Broomlands Gate on May 25.

At 7.30pm local community wardens were in the area when they approached a group of youngsters playing football by Fisher's house.

As they were speaking with the youths, Fisher appeared and threatened both of the wardens.
