IRVINE'S D2 SHOP SHUTS

STAFF at Irvine's D2 Jeans store are to spend the first part of their New Year job-hunting, after the clothes chain announced it has gone into administration.
The Rivergate store is among 19 in the UK which are to be closed immdeiately, with 200 staff being made redundant.
The closure - a fresh blow to Irvine's town centre - has been blamed on "extremely difficult trading conditions".
