THE NEXT outing for the Cunninghame Ramblers will be a walk to Corsencon near New Cumnock on Sunday 15th January.

The walk will be led by John Inglis (Tel. No 01294 2744790) and is graded as a moderate walk. The Ramblers will be pleased to be accompanied by anyone who has had made a New Year Resolution to become more active in 2012. The walk wihin the eastern reaches of Ayrshire will provide new walkers with an enjoyably challenging ramble as we welcome the return to longer days and the progression towards springtime.

On Tuesday 17th January, Janice Clark (Tel No 01294 221026) will lead a walk to explore the tracks to Blackcraig Hill from Kirkconnel.

Again this walk is graded as easy to moderate over low level tracks and moorland

Anyone requiring further information regarding a walk is invited to discuss the details with the walk leader on the phone number indicated above.

As usual the meeting point for departing on the walk will beat the Kirkgate Car Park behind the Royal Bank of Scotland, High Street, Irvine.

Participants are advised to arrive in good time to allow for a prompt departure at 9am.

New walkers are welcome to participate in up to four walks prior to being required to take a membership of the Ramblers Association. Membership gives an entitlement to participate in the walking programmes of all the Ramblers Association groups throughout the United Kingdom.

Within Ayrshire there are three groups located around Irvine, Kilmarnock and Ayr who organise weekly walks within the South and West of Scotland.
