WATT ON EARTH IS GOING ON?

STUDENTS, educators and politicians have been left baffled and concerned by the announcement that James Watt College is to be divided between two new college regions.
In a statement to Parliament last Wednesday described as "clear as mud", education secretary Mike Russell confirmed that the Kilwinning campus of James Watt College is to merge with Ayr and Kilmarnock in a new Ayrshire college region.
However, James Watt's Inverclyde campus will merge with Reid Kerr and Clydebank colleges in a separate region.
