DRIVERS RACED AT 130MPH - BUT AVOID GOING TO PRISON
A PAIR of Irvine drivers have avoided jail terms after racing each other at 130mph on a dual carriageway.
Kenneth Poole, of Campbell Place, Dreghorn, was caught racing another motorist at dangerous speeds, weaving in and out of traffic on the A71 on April 22.
Police officers in an unmarked vehicle were travelling in the eastbound carriageway of the A71 at a 1.6mile section between two roundabouts when they were overtaken by two hatchbacks at 6pm.
