EMBEZZLER ADMITS TAKING MORE CASH FROM WORK

A KILWINNING woman who was convicted of embezzling £4,200 from her work is set to return to court - after her employers discovered more money had been taken.

Catherine McLaughlin (also known as Irene McLaughlin) of Stevenston Road, was employed as an administrative assistant by McLaughlin Drainage (no relation) , Ardoch Farms, for eight years before being let go in December 2010.

At the end of the year, her employer checked through the business accounts and discovered a number of withdrawals dating back to August 7, 2009, totalling £4,200.
