IRVINE’S most popular comedy night is returning for a Marymass special.

Side Splitters Comedy Club is back the Harbour Arts Centre on Sunday, August 16 as part of Irvine’s annual festival.

Some of Scotland’s finest comedians have graced the HAC’s hallowed floorboards under the Side Splitters banner and who better to host the Marymass special than a hometown boy.

Billy Kirkwood will once again be your compere for the evening having been a Side Splitters mainstay for many years.

Headlining the show will be Scottish comedy legend Graham Mackie.

A woodwork teacher by day, Graham has some hilarious tales about pupils forging notes and playing hooky.

His affable manner and self-deprecating style has made him a warm favourite on the Scottish comedy scene.

Make sure you buy your tickets to avoid disappointment.

Tickets cost £6 and can be purchased from the HAC box office on 01294 274059.
