IRVINE Bay Regeneration Company is to hold its Annual Public Meeting in the Gailes Hotel in Irvine on Thursday, September 17 at 11am.

The theme for the meeting is “Building a lasting legacy” and will look at the achievements to date and the plans for the final two years of the regeneration company’s planned activity as it hands over responsibility for regeneration to North Ayrshire Council in 2017.

Patrick Wiggins, Chief Executive, said: “Since we set up in 2006, Irvine Bay Regeneration Company has taken a leading role in making the area a more attractive and successful place to live, work and do business.

“We have invested in town centres, created new business premises and looked for ways of bringing regeneration to the area.

“Our present focus is on the i3, Irvine’s Enterprise Area, and we have created hundreds of new jobs there.

“Irvine Bay and North Ayrshire Council announced the intention to transfer responsibility for the regeneration of the Irvine Bay area from the Regeneration Company to the Council’s Economic Development team by March 2017.

“Now, in the last two years of Irvine Bay’s life, our role is to build a lasting legacy for the area - a legacy that will continue to bring success.” The event is free but attendees should book to reserve a place online at registerforevent.co.uk/irvinebay2015/ or call 0141 357 2235.
