THE Cook School Scotland are raising money for Ayrshire Hospice and are encouraging people in the area to ‘Go Purple’ in aid of their campaign.

The organisation are holding their special event on Friday, October 9 and are urging individuals and companies to take part, whether they dress in purple, bake a purple cake or even dye their hair purple.

The Cook School Scotland are continuing their great support of Ayrshire Hospice by choosing it as their charity of the year.

Last year, the Go Purple event raised over £15,400 thanks to the fundraising efforts of people in Ayrshire and Ron Swanson, Assistant Fundraising Manager at the Ayrshire Hospice, is hoping they can beat that amount this year. He said: “Organisations across Ayrshire offer great support all year round to the hospice, and The Cook School is certainly no exception. “We are so grateful to The Cook School for supporting Go Purple and we hope that this year’s campaign gives other workplaces across Ayrshire a good excuse to have some purple fun with their friends and colleagues whilst raising money for the hospice. Last year the campaign raised over £15,000 and we are keen to encourage the people of Ayrshire to join in and help beat this target.” For further information or to sign up to Go Purple, contact the fundraising team on 01292 288488 or email community@ayrshirehospice.org.
