VET EXPANSION PLAN REFUSED BY COUNCIL

LOCAL vet David Norrington has had a planing application to relocate and expand his veterinary practice in Stewarton turned down.

Currently working from premises at 54 High Street, David had lodged a change of use application with the council, after agreeing to purchase a property at 11 Vennel Street. However the application was refused by East Ayrshire Council.

David told the Advertiser he was disappointed by the decision and felt there was a demand for an expanded veterinary service in the town, as people currently have to travel to Kilmarnock to access full surgical faciltiies.
