IRVINE Bogside Golf Club are playing host to a National Fire Service competition for the first time this week.
The 2013 UKFRS Doubles Comp' is the first National Golf section event of 2013 and the first ever national FRS golf event to be hosted by the newly formed Scottish Fire and Rescue Service There are 48 pairs (96 golfers) competing from Fire & Rescue services throughout England and Scotland; travelling from places as far apart as Cornwall, Norfolk and Grampian regions.
