HOTSHOT Kilwinning Rangers striker Bryan Boylan is hoping his side can go for glory in the Scottish Junior Cup and challenge for promotion after another fine performance on Saturday.
Boylan  scored twice to take his tally to 10 goals in eight games as Buffs defeated Ashfield 4-2 at Abbey Park and progress to the third round of the national competition.
Buffs are now unbeaten run to five games ahead of this weekend's Super League First Division match away to high-flying Clydebank.
The striker, in his third season at Abbey Park was encouraged with the performance and said: "It was a bit of a scrappy game and we did all the hard work in the first half. I was just happy chances were falling my way and I took them, I'm happy with my form. The Scottish C up is absolutely massive for this club. You want to be going all the way in the Scottish Cup and it's a trophy that the Buffs want to bring back home and we want to do well in every cup we are in. It doesn't matter who we get in the next round."
"But promotion is the top priority for us and hopefully we can achieve that. The league is still wide open and you just need a couple of results to be right back in the race although we have to keep picking up results away from home, The result at Yoker gave us a lot of confidence and we are on a good run, hopefully we can keep it going."
Manager Chris Strain Jnr was delighted to progress in the national competition and said: "Our attacking play was good and in the first half we started brightly and scored some good goals. The pleasing thing was that we were not under pressure. although Ashfield made it difficult forr us in the second half. We showed a good mental fortitude to see out the game. Bryan Boylan's goalscoring has been excellent."
The boss says his team go into the Clydebank match with confidence and added: "We had a good win at Holm Park a few weeks ago and are playing with confidence. Clydebank are a good side who have scored a lot of goals and are strong defensively. But we are looking to win the game, we want to  challlenge for promotion."
