GIRLS FOOTBALL
CLARK Drive Under-11 Girls fielded two separate teams truly atrocious playing conditions at the Cumbernauld Colts Festival.
However, it was great to test themselves against different opposition for a change.
Cumbernauld Colts also had two separate teams., with Wishaw and Gartcairn also represented.
The girls were due to play at Clyde FC Stadium, but had to be moved outside the stadium at the last minute due to a double booking. Cumbernauld have promised it will be indoors next time.
All of the games were very competitive and lots of great football was played by all of the teams competing.
Sophie, Lori, Millie, Joss and Abigail were all on target for Drive.
The Under-11 players are developing well and coaches are encouraged with their progress.
The host club enjoyed the games against the Irvine side and could be in touch about future matches.
It was another great turnout from the Drive players with four unavailable for different reasons

DIRRANS Athletic demolished Lochan 6-1 in a one-sided Scottish Cup third round tie.
The game was switched to the Kilwinning Sports Club 4G pitch to ensure it went ahead.
John Pirrie cut in from the right before slotting home to put Dirrans ahead and then scored again after good work from strikeforce partner Logan Stevenston. Peter Wood then scored direct from a corner-kick.
Stephen Cochrane hit the post and Stevenston slotted home the rebound.
Lochan pulled a goal back before Stevenson netted and Liam Wylie headed home.
Dirrans dominated and were worthy winners in what was their first game in three weeks owing to a weather-enforced lay-off..
