MIDFIELDER Dean Agnew and goalscorer Ian Cashmore have high hopes Kilwinning Rangers can see off Camelon at the second time of asking on Saturday and seal a Scottish Junior Cup semi-final spot.

Buffs drew 3-3 at home to the East League side in a thrilling quarter-final tie, with Agnew setting up Cashmore for the vital third goal.

The Abbey Park side three times came back from behind to stay in the tie with the rematch at Carmuirs Park.

Agnew feels their fighting spirit will stand them in good stead and said: "It was a good game with loads of goals. Each time we go a goal down we don't feel we are going to lose and we definitely have the fight to come back. We look forward to next week and will train hard to get ready for it. I would say the game is there for the taking and we have a good squad.. Hopefully we can be strong and get through it.."

Cashmore believes his side can play better and said: "I was in the right place at the right time and delighted to get a goal. It was a good pass from Dean - when he gets into the box he will produce something at the end of it. We didn't really play that well. I know we can do better, but Camelon are a good side and at least we are still in the cup. We will always score goals and we are confident that we can go up there and win on Saturday."

Manager Chris Strain Jnr admitted his side were not at their best but is confident.

He said: "We didn't play great but will be ready for the replay. A few players who have quality did not quite the heights but we are still in the cup and the game is there to go and win."

Meanwhile Irvine Meadow boss Davie Greig is looking to put his side's dreadful league form behind them as the basement side on Saturday head to Beechwood Park to face Premier Division champions Auchinleck Talbot

Greig hopes the players can put past behind them and said:: "This is the start of the second half of the season and we have to forget what's happened before. We will do our utmost to stay in this league and look forward to the Talbot game. They drew their last league match and went out of the cup on Saturday so there will be pressure on them to get a result. But we go into the game looking to win it."
