CLARK Drive Girls 13s Blues welcomed Queen of the South to Irvine Sports Club on Saturday for a League Cup quarter-final.

Early on, the teams were evenly matched but Drive quickly took control, notching three quickfire goals.

Drive then scored a few more goals to comfortably qualify for the semi-final.

It was great to see the girls use the corners they have worked on at training and put them into practice during a game.

The 9-3 win was a fair reflection of the game. Josslyn Fletcher and Stephanie Spring shared the goals, with Josslyn scoring the majority.

The coaches were delighted to see the girls play an excellent brand of football.

Everyone played their part and a huge thanks to Erin Hanlon who stepped up from the U11s to help out.

Josslyn also once again produced a master class in finishing.

Drive squad: Lara, Aimee, Abigail, Amie, Stephanie, Millie, Josslyn, Erin, Caitlin, Vanessa.
