MAJOR success was celebrated by Irvine Judo Club at a recent prestigious event.
At the Scottish Mon Grade Championships, Jamie McLean (I1) was beaten in the final after six really tough fights.
He was joined by three club colleagues. Callum Stevenston (also 11) finished third in his pool, Zac McGhee (9) came fourth in his group, as did Michael Cowan (8).
Club coach Gordon Brawley said: "All kids fought well on the day against the best kids in the country and they looking forward to the Clyde challenge next week."
