IRVINE Victoria opened up their gates to allow people to watch a training session on Saturday.

They spent an hour running on the sand dunes and after lunch a fun session was organised at Victoria Park. This involved a lot of ball work and passing drills.

Manager Stevie Wilson said: "The fitness levels are good and the boys look sharp. This open day was all about getting a bit closer to the support and allowing people to get a wee run about. We invited along the Irvine Vics Under-13s who are run by Jim Catterson and also some children, including my son Stephen. As far as I know it's the first time we have run an event like this."

After the coaching there was a question-and-answer-session with the Vics coaches.

As our pictures show everyone enjoyed the experience.
