Congratulations to Irvine badminton ace Eva Tremble for a vintage performance down south at the weekend.
Eva won a bronze medal in the girls singles competition at the Badminton England U13 Gold event in Lilleshall.
The Irvine youngster had an impressive three victories in her pool, defeating number one seed Delphie-Beau
Foster 21-17, 21-19, Sia Pandit 21-17, 21-14 and Katie Savage 21-11, 21-8.
Winning the pool qualified Eva for the semi finals, where she came up against Vibha Raman.
Eva played well and fought hard against a tough opponent, with Vibha winning in two sets - 21-9, 21-16.
Club-mate Imogen Meldrum also travelled south and played very well to finish runner-up.
in her pool, only losing out to second seed Srishti Saravana 21-7, 21-5. Imogen had two other matches in her pool and had fantastic wins, beating Anushka Acharya 21-11 21-16 and Lakshaya Naveneetham 21-16, 21-12.
Eva and Imogen paired up for the girls doubles event and won one and lost two in their pool.
The girls won 21-17, 21- 7 against Anushka Acharya and Sofie Chong but lost out to second seeds Emily Chen and Grace Sachdeva 21-12, 21-12 and also to Sofia Bao and Lucy Brierley - 21-17, 21-11.
