HARVEY Gilmour has officially signed on the dotted line at Kilwinning Rangers under 20s.

The younger brother of Brighton midfielder Billy makes the move after playing three trialist games for the young Buffs.

The midfielder, from Ardrossan, joins having left Kilmarnock at the end of last season. He had previously signed his a professional contract with the Rugby Park club.

We reported earlier this month that the talented 18-year-old was trialling with Kilwinning's youth side and today the club announced that the move had been made official.

The under-20s side say they had to stave off interest from "a number of other very good teams" to secure his signature.

National media outlets had previously reported that Harvey had been handed a trial with his brother's current side.

However, after an impressive goal and two assists in his three trialist matches with the Buffs - he has made a decision on where he will be playing his football this season.

While his signing for the club within the Kilwinning Rangers set up means he will also be available for first team selection if required.

Announcing the signing, Kilwinning Rangers under-20 said: "We are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Harvey Gilmour from Kilmarnock FC.

"Harvey has played as a trialist in the last three of our games and has shown his quality with a goal and two assists.

"Another fantastic prospect, we are thrilled Harvey has decided to come to Kilwinning Rangers to play his football amidst interest from a number of other very good teams.

"Harvey will take squad number 19 and will feature for our club’s under 20s but will also be available for selection for our first team if required."
