MORE details have been revealed of the free 'family fan zones' being set up in North Ayrshire for the Euro 2024 football tournament next month.

KA Leisure has arranged the events to take place at the Vikingar! in Largs, and The Portal in Irvine, as Stevie Clarke's side look to make history and become the first Scotland team to qualify beyond the group stage in an international tournament.

While both of the fan zones are free, spaces are limited, and supporters will have to book tickets in advance to be sure of their place.

Irvine Times:

On Friday June 14, the Portal hosts coverage of Scotland's opening match against Germany, the first game of the tournament. 

The pre-match family fun starts at 6pm and the match kicks off at 8pm.

Scotland's second group match, against Switzerland on Wednesday, June 19, will be shown live at the Vikingar, with the fun starting at 6pm, 90 minutes before the game kicks off.

Tickets for the Irvine fan zone can be booked online via Ticketsource at tinyurl.com/irvinefanzoneeuro2024, while tickets for the Largs event can be booked via the same website at tinyurl.com/largsfanzoneeuro2024. 

Both sites have full details of what supporters can expect at the event.

A KA Leisure spokesperson said: "We will be providing a safe and inclusive environment for families to gather while watching the Euro 2024 game! There will be activities before the match.

"There will be a supply hot catering, confectionery and a bar available.

"Tickets for this event are free and limited."

 All tickets will be unallocated seating on the balcony and table seating. Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult."
