Brawley focuses on bout

BOXING supremo Ryan Brawley is gearing up for another vital bout this weekend - and is determined to not let the demands of fatherhood put a strain on his preparations.

The undefeated Irvine fighter will make his first appearance since securing £25,000 Prizefighter glory when he squares up against veteran Englishman Daniel Thorpe at Clydebank"s Playdrome on Friday night.

But his preparations were met with a welcome distraction last month when fiancee Claire gave birth to their second child Brandon.

Despite the obvious joy this has brought to the family, the talented southpaw says his sole focus has been on picking apart his more experienced opponent.
