CLARK DRIVE Under-13 Girls turned in a fantastic display in monsoon conditions on the Ballerup Astro at East Kilbride last Saturday.
They went a goal down in five minutes when they lost possession in midfield and the Kilbride girl burst through to score.
The girls responded brilliantly and equalised within the minute when Jemma Bruce bundled the ball home.
Drive continued to keep their passing game going and scored another three goals before half-time to give them a three-goal cushion.
In the second half they scored another six and total dominated the game against a determined EK team.
Megan Colvan was her usual self in goals and as ever her distribution was superb. Morgan Wilkie came back after a few weeks out with injury and turned in a great performance. Abigail Smyth stepped up from the 11s and tackled like tiger and linkied up really well with Jemma. Aimme Taggart the game and setting up a few cracking moves. Olivia Wearing on the right was just immense in the second half and tore the EK defence to shreds.
Jemma notched five goals and was a danger every time she was on the ball. Brooke Thomson came on just after half-time and scored a hat-trick.
Mhairi Connelly came on at left back and showed just how much she had improved with a couple of great passes to Jemma to set up a goal and last but not least Josslyn Fletcher patrolled the right hand side and her pace and skill shone through brightly.
Referee Zach Gill controlled the game superbly.
