STRUGGLING Killie have just one point to their name from five games after falling to a disappointing defeat at Fir Park on Saturday.

Later injured defender Gordon Greer accused his team-mates of giving up the ghost as their miserable start to the season continued.

Greer, in his second spell at Rugby Park, was taken off with a groin injury at half-time and was left to look on in frustration from the sidelines.

He said: "The second half wasn't a good watch from the sidelines. We need to do better. There are no excuses. It's down to the players that we have lost that game. It's very sad for us to sit here and say that. As a team and a collective unit - not just the players who played the game, everybody behind the scenes - we never worked hard enough and deserved to lose the game."

Ryan Bowman fired 'Well into the lead in 65 minutes, knocking the ball home after latching on to a defence-splitting pass from substitute Gael Bigirimana. Then five minutes from time, the hosts sealed victory when Bowman was upended inside the box by Iain Wilson and Louis Moult netted from the penalty spot.

Killie on Saturday a daunting trip north to face Aberdeen at Pittodrie.
