FORMER Killie stars Gary Holt, Garry Hay and Alan Mahood were among those who turned out to support a successful charity event held in memory of a Kilwinning football great on Sunday.

Kilwinning Sports Club played host to the annual Ian Cashmore Snr Memorial Charity Tournament.

Teams featuring a whole host of players from the present and past lined up in the eagerly anticipated event.

The side featuring Dalry Thistle striker Ian Cashmore Jnr, who previously played at Kilwinning Rangers and Irvine Vics won the trophy in a closely contested tournament.

It is expected to raise around £1,450 for the spinal unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow. Former Ayr United player Cashmore Snr was treated regularly at the spinal unit at the Southern General Hospital.
