DIRRANS ATHLETIC 4
BARRHILL AFC 2
FOUR first half goals set Dirrans on the way to an easy win against their Stirlingshire opponents.
Jamie Dunlop scored a great individual goal to put them ahead in four minutes.
A deflected Calvin Kemp free-kick saw them double their tally in six minutes.B
Barrhill pulled a goal back immediately, before being reduced to 10 men midway through the first half when their central midfielder stamped on Kemp.
Logan Stevenson headed home the third and when Jarod Kiefer made it 4-1 in 36 minutes it looked like game over.
Cumnock, however struck next when the referee gave a strange penalty decision which was comfortably converted just before half-time. Dirrans dominated the second half but failed to add to their total and had to rely on goalkeeper Ross Stewart to produce two outstanding saves to protect their two goal cushion.
