MEADOW boss Chris Strain spoke of his pride in his players at securing a treble against the odds this season.

Strain spoke to Sporttimes as we went to press on Tuesday as his troops were beginning their quest for a fourth trophy with an Evening Times Cup Winners" Cup clash at Arthurlie.

He said: 'We have a really great team spirit and that has been the key to our success. It has been a great season for Ayrshire with Auchinleck Talbot winning the Scottish Cup and Beith the West of Scotland Cup. But it"s great to be the best team in our region which we have shown by winning the league title."
