Meadow boss Strain laments slump to new boys Largs Thistle
DISAPPOINTED Irvine Meadow boss Chris Strain admitted his side produced their "poorest performance in two years" as they slumped to a 3-1 home Premier Division defeat against First Division champions Largs Thistle on Saturday.
But Strain, whose troops also went down 1-0 at home to league newcomers Kilbirnie Ladeside in last Tuesday's Ardagh Glass Cup semi final, will take the back to back defeats firmly on the chin.
And he is confident they can put the recent wobbles behind them as they welcome Petershill to Meadow Park on Saturday.
