Meadow jubilant as 500-mile trip ends in victory

JUBILANT Irvine Meadow boss Chris Strain saluted his players after a 500 mile round trip ended in a glorious victory on Saturday.

The Premier Division champions sparkled in their senior Scottish Cup debut, overcoming Highlanders Brora Rangers 2-0 to progress to the second round.

Strain said: "We pretty much dominated the game and could have won by even more had we taken our chances."
