Madden wants to keep playing football

LONG-SERVING Irvine Victoria boss Rab Madden has surprisingly announced he has quit the club after three and a half seasons in charge.

He says he hoped to continue playing the game.

He told Sporttimes: "The main reason I am resigning is very simple, I just don't want to be a manager any longer.

"Whilst results have not been great, the constant chopping and changing, work commitments, injuries to key players and overall attitude within the squad has meant it has been less enjoyable than I had hoped."
