TROPHY favourites Meadow bludgeoned Bathgate with a ruthless efficiency which suggests their 37-year wait to claim back the Junior game's Holy Grail could be fast coming to an end.

Seven days after crashing to a shock home league defeat against Arthurlie following a below par display, Meadow were firing on all cylinders and even a 4-1 or 5-1 win would not have flattered the home side, such was their dominance and territorial advantage.
