TROPHY favourites IRVINE MEADOW and Auchinleck Talbot will go head-to-head in the Emirates Scottish Junior Cup quarter-finals following Tuesday night's draw.

The games are scheduled for next Saturday, March 19 with the teams also meeting in the Stagecoach Super League Premier Division this weekend.

While disappointed his team are playing Talbot two weeks running- they square up at Meadow Park in the Super League Premier Division on Saturday - manager Chdris Strain is pleased to have home advantage

Bookies William Hill feel the Meadow v Talbot tie is too close to call, with both teams priced at 11-4 to win the top trophy.

Strain said: "I think it's poor planning on the part of the SJFA to have us playing two weeks running but there is nothing we can do about that. It's good to have home advantage and we have a good record both at Meadow Park and against Auchinleck Talbot. We must first of all focus on the league game this weekend and know a victory would damage Talbot's title chances but the cup game will be totally different from the league match and no one will take any advantage into the cup tie."
