IRVINE MEADOW's scheduled league match against Auchinleck Talbot has been shelved after the East Ayrshire side asked for it to be called off.

The SJFA West Region contacted both clubs to say they could re-schedule the Premier Division fixture as it came just a week before their Emirates Scottish Junior Cup Quarter-Final.

The Irvine side wanted it to be played but Talbot asked for it to be moved

Boss Chris Strain said: "It's disappointing as we were all ready to play the game but the SJFA gave us the option and Talbot didn't want it played. We can now prepare for the tie against Ardeer."
