PREMIER Division champions IRVINE MEADOW were handed what boss Chris Strain said was "the toughest tie possible" in the William Hill Scottish Cup on Wednesday morning.

Meadow were handed a home Third Round tie against Division Two champions Livingston when the draw was made at Musselburgh Racecourse on Wednesday morning.

The boss said: "I am still trying to get my head around it, that's about the toughest tie possible although it's good to be at home."

Ayrshire rivals Auchinleck Talbot were drawn at home to Girvan FC's conquerors Vale of Leithen while the remaining other Junior side Boness will face Second Division leaders Cowdenbeath at home.

The ties are scheduled for Saturday, November 19.
