CLARK Drive Girls 11s on Sunday took part in a tournament at Kilwinning Sports Club The girls were simply outstanding from start to finish.

Morgan Tait is improving with every game in goals and Madison Sprigg was back to her reliable self and read the game well.

Vanessa McGuire was determined in the tackle, had good distribution and is enjoying her football. Evie Wilson made some excellent defensive challenges. Josslyn Fletcher and Sophie Corbett worked up and down the park all day long.

Abigail Smyth was commanding in the middle of the park. Skye MacIntyre worked hard and made one of the goals with her pass. Chloe Dearie worked tirelessly for the team and you can see the improvement in her game.

Clara Cunningham did well both in a wide and central role and Shaunie McGarry played the lone role up front just as we asked her to do!. Our Thursday training session last week has worked wonders, where we worked on our shape. You could see the difference.

The coaches are really proud of the players. The girls played some excellent football and scored some really well-worked goals.

Clark Drive Girls 17s travelled to Petershill on Sunday to take on Glasgow City 17s.The game was played in great spirit with Clark Drive up against a very good, well-organised City team.

The girls never gave up and tried right till the end but were outplayed by the City girls.

This was Drive’s first league game, and now look forward to playing Rutherglen next Sunday at Marress.
