PRIZEIGHTER Ryan Brawley is poised for a British title eliminator fight later this year...but faces a race against time to be fit for it.

The injury-plagued Irvine bruiser - undefeated in 17 professional fights, but out of action for six months after having to undergo a cartilage operation - is set to go head to head with Liverpool's John Watson, unbeaten in 13 fights - with the British Boxing Board of Control hoping to stage the contest before the end of the year.

See the Times this week for a full story and interview.
