MEADOW squandered a two-goal lead as they were held by struggling 'Hill in a game which summed up their inconsistent season.
Kick-off was delayed for 15 minutes to allow time to clear some surface water off the park.
The visitors began well and took the lead in 25 minutes as recent signing William Wells netted against his old club.
Seven minutes later Ben Black whipped in a cross and the home goalie and a defender collided, with the ball falling to Wells who clipped home for his second goal of the game.
Maryhill pulled a goal back in 41 minutes and then 10 minutes after the break they scored again to level the match.
The hosts were then harshly reduced to 10 men and 10 minutes later double goalscorer Wells was given a second yellow card for handball, although that decision too looked unjust
Neither player should have had a red card and looked like a case of the referee trying to even things up.
There were precious few more opportunities as the game ended deadlocked.
