KILWINNING RANGERS 6

ARDROSSAN WINTON ROVERS 0

RAMPANT Buffs steamrollered depleted Winton to chalk up a third successive win in the season-opening competition.

Doubles from David Winters and Bryan Boylan helped them romp to victory against a visiting side who had just nine first team regulars available.

Former Ayr United striker Ryan Nisbet shot over the bar from 25 yards in 20 minutes with the hosts dominant. Then Ben Lewis made a darting run to the edge of the box before firing high and just wide from 25 yards seven minutes later.

Dylan McLaughlin made a run deep into Buffs' territory in 29 minutes, before being foiled by a challenge from Tommy Maitland.

However the hosts made the breakthrough on the half hour when Sam McCloskey found Boylan who forced the ball home from eight yards.

They doubled their advantage five minutes later when Winters volleyed home from 10 yards.

Buffs were well worthy of their half-time lead.

A 30-yard free-kick from Joe Coleman was well saved by the Winton goalie in 50 minutes and a minute later Nisbet burst into the box before having his shot saved.

However in 52 minutes the hosts further increased their lead when Boylan made a great run before shooting home from 10 yards.

It was 4-0 in 75 minutes when Winters set up Nisbet to crack the ball home from eight yards. Two minutes later Winters shot home from the edge of the box.

Winton were reduced to 10 men in 80 minutes when Lee Davidson was sent off for a second booking.

Kilwinning scored again on full-time when Carlo Monti was given too much room and shot home from the edge of the box.
