A SIX-match ban was dished out to Kilwinning Rangers manager Chris Strain by junior beaks on Tuesday night.
The Buffs boss was sent off in the 1-1 draw against Glenafton Athletic at Abbey Park for his behaviour towards referee Stephen Brown.
Now he faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines during a critical time as his team challenge for the Super League Premier Division title.
Strain said after the decision was made at the SJFA West Region monthly meeting: "All I did was point out to the referee that the linesman had already signalled substitute Tommy Maitland could come back on to the field after treatment. I can understand that the six-game ban is statutory but feel the punishment does not fit the crime."
The Abbey Park manager is considering an appeal against the decision.
