Meadow in Scottish Cup 4th round with win over Arbroath

IRVINE Meadow have made history by becoming the first junior side to defeat SFL opposition since gaining entry to the Scottish Cup - beating Arbroath 1-0 at Meadow Park.

Richie Barr was the hero with a 36th minute winner. A massive crowd saw the juniors defy the odds to book their place in the 4th round and a potential mouthwatering tie against SPL opposition - with Celtic and Rangers entering the pot.
