MEADOW struck a blow to rivals Auchinleck Talbot's title dreams with a hard fought away win.

The Irvine side got off to the best possible start when midfielder David Hamilton was left completely unmarked and managed to bundle home a corner after just three minutes.

And a nightmare for 'Bot keeper Adam Strain saw Meadow grab a second on 56 minutes.

Bryan Young rattled home a rebound for Auchinleck, but Meadow held on for the win.
